(AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS) The European Championships Lacrosse 2012 will be hosted in Amsterdam from June 20, until June 30, 2012. Over 20 nationalities and up to 50 teams will be represented during the Championships (both men and women).
The festival will be hosted parallel to the European Championships and will be accessible for all teams from all over the world, of all ages. Several clinics will be hosted prior to and during the festival where people can check out the game and see some big names in lacrosse showcase their talents.
New Comers Tournament
The organization of the European Championships is doing its utmost to host a new comers tournament: a tournament especially for countries that recently started playing lacrosse.
The event will take place in the Amsterdamse Bos, on the field hockey fields of AH&BC, Hurley and Pinoké. In total, 14 artificial turf fields will be available for the entire event. The organization of the EC12 will also establish a cooperation with the cricket club, which is located between the field hockey fields. All fields are within walking distance of each other, and lot’s of parking space is available. Wagener Stadium, located in the Amsterdamse Bos, is where the weekend of finals will take place.
