ESPN Announces Expanded International Reach

The FIL World Championship opens on Thursday, July 10 at 7 pm (Mountain time) with the defending world champion United States hosting Canada in a game that will be carried live in the United States on ESPN2.

ESPN has announced the following distribution plans for worldwide coverage of the 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse World Championship, presented by Trusted Choice. The schedule for broadcasts in the United States is available here.

 

IN AUSTRALIA:
ESPN and ESPN2 in Australia will air the following games:

ESPN

July 12 – Australia vs. United States, Live
July 13 – Wales vs. New Zealand, Live
July 14 – England vs. Australia, (delay) July 14 at 9-11pm local time)
July 17 – Semifinal #1, Live
July 17 – Semifinal #2, Live
July 19 – Championship, Live

ESPN2

July 11 – Australia vs. Japan, Live (Reairs July 12 at 8pm-10pm on ESPN2)
July 14 – England vs. United States, Live
July 14 – Iroquois Nationals vs. Australia, Live (Reairs July 15 6pm-8pm on ESPN2)
July 15 – Canada vs. Australia, Live (Reairs July 16 5pm-7pm on ESPN2)

*** Additionally, the ESPN3.com broadband streaming service will distribute all games live in Australia and New Zealand.

 

IN NEW ZEALAND AND THE PACIFIC ISLANDS:
ESPN will air the following games:

July 12 – Australia vs. United States, Live
July 13 – Wales vs. New Zealand, Live
July 14 – England vs. Australia, (delay) July 14 at 9-11pm local time)
July 17 – Semifinal #1, Live
July 17 – Semifinal #2, Live
July 19 – Championship, Live

IN MEXICO AND CENTRAL AMERICA:
ESPN Tres will air the following games:

July 17 – Semifinal #1, Live

IN CANADA (ENGLISH-LANGUAGE):
TSN2 will air the following games:

July 13 – Iroquois Nationals vs. Canada, Live
July 14 – Japan vs. Canada, Live
July 15 – Canada vs. Australia, Live

*Plus any medal round games should Canada advance
***The schedule has not been finalized for RDS in French-speaking Canada (Quebec). Please see local listings.

 

IN THE UK AND EUROPE:

ESPN Player, live and on-demand sports streaming service will provide coverage. ESPN Player – is launching a new channel for coverage of the Championships. ESPN Play, the regional broadband sports service, will distribute all games live throughout Spanish-speaking Latin America

 

IN BRAZIL:
