(WARSAW, Poland) John Pirie, former Head Coach for Germany’s U-19 National Team , and former UMass Boston Head Coach, Matt Rowley, teamed up for an FIL sanctioned lacrosse clinic in Poland.

The clinic was co-sponsored by the Kosynierzy Wroclaw Lacrosse Club and was conducted at the “Sztabowa” football field in Warsaw from July 31st through August 2nd.

According to an article published by Tomasz Kedsia on the Kosynierzy Wroclaw Lacrosse Club website, the clinic attracted nearly 50 players from Poland, Germany and the Netherlands who enthusiastically practiced under the tutelage of Pirie and Rowley. Kedsia called the clinic “a huge success.”

All three days involved on-the-field exercises combined with lacrosse theory and strategy sessions and culminated in a friendly, yet competitive game amongst the clinic’s participants.

At the end of the clinic the coaches were satisfied with attitudes and efforts of all the players involved.
