The Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) is a full supporter of WADA – the World Anti-Doping Association. FIL has adopted WADA’s anti-doping policies and procedures for all of its men’s and women’s world championship events. This includes the use of the WADA Code, the five International Standards (namely, the List of Prohibited Substances and Methods [Prohibited List], Testing, Laboratories, Therapeutic Use Exemptions, and Protection of Privacy and Personal Information) and Whereabouts Information.
FIL is also one of many independent international sports federations who belong to AIMS, the Alliance of Independent Members of SportAccord. AIMS, as a organization, also fully supports WADA, its code and policies application.
The purpose of this page is to communicate FIL’s support of WADA and to provide links to WADA tools and resources for its member’s National Governing Body (NGB) organizations.

The World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) mission is to lead a collaborative worldwide campaign for doping-free sport
WADA was established in 1999 as an international independent agency composed and funded equally by the sport movement and governments of the world. Its key activities include scientific research, education, development of anti-doping capacities, and monitoring of the World Anti Doping Code (Code) – the document harmonizing anti-doping policies in all sports and all countries. WADA is a Swiss private law Foundation. Its seat is in Lausanne, Switzerland, and its headquarters are in Montreal, Canada.
WADA works towards a vision of a world where all athletes compete in a doping-free sporting environment.
